National Theatre

|
Home to the best in Czech opera, ballet, and drama, the National Theatre (or Narodni Divadlo in Czech) is the embodiment of Czech cultural pride. Though tickets to a spectacle inside are by no means cheap, in addition to a great show by the nation's best actors, dancers, and singers, you get to experience the magnificent interior of the theatre, which will have you arching your neck to get a view of the grand ceiling as often as you'll be straining to see the show. Built in 1868 and opened in 1883, the theatre underwent renovation between 1977 and 1983, and its splendid exterior is a sight to see in itself. |
