Bohemia Bagel Restaurant & Internet Cafe website

This hip bagel cafe in the Jewish Quarter features the same menu as their Lesser Town location, including sandwiches on 15 different types of bagels or homemade baguettes, biscuits, hamburger buns and rye bread, as well as soups, vegetarian or pork chili, quiches, salads, and cookies and sweets to go with your coffee or tea. In addition, they have a full service internet cafe, so you can check your e-mail while you dive into a real American pancake - just watch the maple syrup on the keyboard! This location also delivers.

This Bohemia Bagel branch is a reliable, safe-bet option if you find yourself near Old Town Square but want to avoid all the tourist traps in the vicinity.
The food is decent, and I have never had a bad experience there. I particularly enjoy the pancakes with maple syrup, especially as such a classic Anglo-Saxon concoction is not easy to find in Prague. And while I'm all for going native when living abroad, it's good to enjoy treats from the old country once in a while.

The main downside is the atmosphere: as Laura points out above, it is heavily frequented by irritating study abroad types whose conversations can be heard by their parents on the other side of the pond. Sometimes you get the distinct impression that it's not so much a bagel joint as a slightly scruffy campus bar where nobody is older than 25. Overall though, it's a good place for lunch or coffee before the next bout of sightseeing or heading back to work.

I have been here many times: great bagels, but always filled with incredibly loud, picky study abroad Americans and tourists. Their Charles IV breakfast is delicious and great value. Don't order their salads...the lettuce was gritty and clearly had not been washed when I ordered one. The internet is overpriced so go anywhere else to use it. The food is great overall and comforting when you're far from home.
