The distance between Prague and the sea accounts for the relative dearth of seafood restaurants, but Rybi trh makes up for the lack of quantity with a restaurant of real quality. Using only food caught on that day, you can pick your specific piece of meat from a large selection reclining gracefully on beds of ice. Alternatively you can pick an unlucky blighter from the sea aquarium on the premises. Either way you're in for a treat as the meals are expertly prepared, and somewhat unusually, the chef and staff actively encourage direction from the customer in how to cook a dish in their favourite way. The only caveat is that it is on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for and the fact that booking is a necessity reflects that. Highly recommended.
