Teatroroc Festival

This quirky festival fills three days in July with family-friendly fun, all on the island of Kampa in the centre of Prague. Street theatre is the focus of Teatrotoc, where puppeteers, stiltwalkers, storytellers, and jugglers will perform over 41 performances for free. Look out for the kids' workshops as well, where the little ones can learn to make their own puppets, masks, and toys.

Open Air Festival

The Open Air festival is one of Prague's newest live music offerings, importing several impressive international big names to perform alongside Czech performers over 3 days. This year's headliners include Kasabian, Faithless, Royksopp, and LTJ Bukem with MC Conrad. The festival takes place just outside of Prague in the airfield of Panensky Tynec. A full pass is approximately 40 euro.

Festival of Italian Operas

The Verdi Festival of Italian Operas is the traditional kick-off for Prague's State Opera's season and this year's edition will certainly not be lacking in the Verdi department. Aida, Nabucco, Rigoletto, Otello, and La traviata are all on the menu as well as Puccini's Turandot. A celebration of the operatic greats!
