Taking a shoeing
Customs officers made an interesting seizure last week in Prague - not drugs, or exotic animals, but shoes: CZK 45 million (GBP 1 million) worth of shoes to be exact. Over 30,000 pairs of fake designer shoes were found in a warehouse in the Uhrineves district and are believed to have originated in China, with Hungary being the eventual destination. No information was provided on which brand names had been counterfeited but police confirmed that the relevant trademark owners had been alerted.
