Elysee Hotel

The Elysee Hotel is about as central as you can get - right on Wenceslas Square! For being right in the middle of Prague's best shopping and culture, the Elysee is quite affordable, especially during the low season. In addition to its spacious rooms with private bathrooms, the hotel features a beauty salon, fitness centre, cinema, bookshop, plus restaurants and cafes in the Jalta shopping centre where the hotel is situated. Each stylishly decorated room features satellite TV, safe, mini-bar, and a private bathroom fitted with a tub or shower, hairdryer and heated towel rail. But don't think being in the centre of it all means you can't get a good night's sleep - all 70 rooms are noise-insulated - not that you'd want to sleep when there's so much going on! Need room for more people? Try the Apartments Elysee in the same building.

We had but a few days in Prague, so we were happy this hotel was perfectly situated in the centre.

We stayed at the Hotel Elysee when we came to Prague in 2007. Can't fault much about the place, starting with the location on the Wencelas Square. Service was up to western standards, rooms were very attractive and just spacious enough. It did get a little noisy but that is a price you pay for being right in the centre i suppose
